NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TIF WED FEB 21, 2024

Notice is hereby given that the County Commissioners of Somerset County will hold a public hearing on Wednesday February 21, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.in the Commissioner Chambers Room at the County Administration Building at 41 Court Street, Skowhegan, Maine. The purpose of this hearing will be to receive public comments on the proposed Somerset County Economic Development Tax Increment Financing District and Development Program (collectively “Somerset County Economic Development TIF”) pursuant to the provisions of Title 30-A.M.R.S.A § 5221, et seq.

The Somerset County Economic Development TIF proposes establish a TIF district in portions of the unorganized territory known as Johnson Mountain Township and Moxie Gore and associated TIF development program. Details on and copies of the proposed Somerset County Development TIF are in the Somerset County Economic Development TIF Program Application as on file at the County Administration Building and may be reviewed at the office of the County Administrator during open business hours. All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given the opportunity to be heard at that time. Written comments may also be submitted. The deadline for submission of written comments is 1:00 p.m. on the date of the hearing.
